Address Stamps

Have you ever found your writing become illegible after writing your name and address numerous times? I have, and I know my husband’s handwriting is worse than mine. We have resorted to address labels; which we tend to get for free. Well, technically, it isn’t free because we have to make a small donation to a charity organization. Those charity folks are smart; they would send out the address labels and include a picture of a child with it. Who would be able to turn down that kind of donation request, huh? I would feel bad if I use those address labels and not donate some money for it.

I love those address labels and that means we don’t have to write our address whenever we mail our letters, but that isn’t a long term solution. We like to be a little greener too. So, Address Stamps is the way to go. I have written about Vista Print Coupons before and it looks like Vista Print sells address stamps too. All the address stamps could be customized and hear this, there is a coupon to get 50% off!

If you hate writing your address numerous times and want to help to save some trees, go get an Address Stamp. Remember to type in the code Stamps50 during check out to get 50% off for small rubber stamps.

Affordable Glasses

Both the husband and I had procrastinated long enough to get new prescription glasses. Luckily for us, our eye doctor is a close high school friend of his. She has already tested both of our eyes but we haven’t had the time to go in the store to pick out glasses. Thankfully our procrastination paid off.

I just found out about ZenniOptical.com and they have the cheapest glasses starting from $8. Zenni Optical is able to price their frames lower because they eliminated the middlemen and sell only their manufactured frames to the customers. If you are interested in Zenni Optical you can find Zenni on Fox too.

How to get cheaper diapers

Cassie is using the Huggies Supreme diapers now. I prefer the Supreme over regular Huggies diapers ‘cos they are softer and absorb more pee. Nowadays I would give her a new diaper after a bath (around 7pm) and the diaper will last throughout the night. The longest record is from 7pm till 10am. If she is to wear the regular Huggies diaper, it will leak by 7am.

The Huggies Supreme is more expensive than the regular Huggies but it’s definitely worth the money. With that in mind, I am always in the hunt for coupons. I do get them on the mail via Huggies but they will only provide 2 coupons for the diapers. Each coupon entitles to $1.50 off. I find that Target usually has decent price on diapers. Like just this weekend, we bought a box of 96-pc at $19.99 (not including tax). Since I ran out of coupons, I didn’t get it cheaper. But then again, $19.99 is not bad at all. It is about 21 cents for each diaper. Target also carries a larger volume box but I did the calculation, each diaper from the larger volume box cost about 22 cents. So, sometimes, larger volume doesn’t mean it is cheaper.

Anyway, with all these coupon clippings I have, don’t be surprise to see Blockbuster coupons in my handbag. :lol: Searching for coupons online has become second nature to me. You will be surprise how much you can save (in long run) with just coupons.

Lunch time

My lunch buddy called in sick today, so I went to the mall for lunch alone. Bath & Body Works is having their semi-annual sale till end of this week. I got some liquid hand soaps at the price of $20 for 7. It’s a great deal! I usually stock up on the hand soaps or body lotion whenever they are on sale. I can never get enough of them.

Anyway, I managed to catch a performance by a group of high school students. Instead of hitting the textbooks for Summer, these kids are having fun. They are from Cyprus High School at Salt Lake City, Utah. Here’re two video clips I took from the 2nd floor. If only they had such thing during my time, I can picture myself doing this.

Review: DirMania

DirMania claims it is one of the strongest free directory of websites, mainly business websites. For a 100% free web directory since 2005 it has definitely gathered a lot websites and these are businesses from different continents. I believe this web directory is great for all small to medium size businesses as it is free advertising for their businesses and it will boost their sites page ranking. It is also great for businesses that wishes to test the water of online advertising without parting advertising funds.

I find DirMania site simple and well categorized. It has listed major categories in the main page; thus, making it user-friendly. If I have my own business, I will definitely include my website in DirMania. It’s free, no brainer!

Online deals: Diapers.com

I was looking at Amazon.com for diaper deals ‘cos I have heard they have good deals on Pampers Swaddler. I found a deal for a Jumbo pack size (96 pcs) at Amazon and it qualified for free shipping if the order is over $25. Immediately I im’ed my pro-online shopper friend about it. I had asked her if she wanted to get some for her SIL, who by the way, is due in March. She said yes. Then I realized the price was slightly over $24 per pack.

My pro-online shopper friend then showed me another deal she found at Diapers.com. The cost was $19.99 per pack and if the purchase is over $50 it qualified for Free shipping. I have been keeping an eye on Pampers Swaddler. $19.99 is the lowest I have seen.

We ordered 4 boxes right away. Two for her and two for me. Since I was a new customer, Vickie found me an online coupon that actually deducts $10 for new customers on their first purchase. That means, on top of the low price, we saved another $2.50/box. On top of that order, I bought a jumbo jar (16 oz) of Triple Paste diaper rash cream and a 2-oz Triple Paste tube.

I think I’ll frequent Diapers.com more often ‘cos I can make my payment via PayPal. It is so convenient and their delivery service was quick. I placed the order this Monday and received the package on Wednesday. I had free shipping and don’t have to pay taxes on my purchase. Love this site!

Online deals: Amazon.com

The nesting syndrome hit me hard this time. I think it has to do with my Motherhood experience. This time, I am more prepared. That meaning I have been window shopping a lot. In fact, TOO MUCH! :lol:

Everyday I will be surfing online for the best deals and having a pro-online shopper as a friend makes my addiction worse! I have started to purchase stuff for Baby C’s arrival. My first shopping list went was at Amazon.com. I would only buy the neccessities when there is 1) A Sale 2) Free Shipping. These are my two main criteria for all my online purchases.

This entire purchase cost me less than 10 bucks. Yes lah, you don’t have to rub your eyes. They are really less than $10. This is the breakdown:

Lansinoh Disposable Nursing Pads = $20.99 (pack of 3) [Save $2.38 if purchase as single box]
Books = $14.48 [Save: Few bucks here and there; didn't really matter to me]
Crib Sheet = $4.00 [Save: $14; this is a steal!]

Total = $39.47
Amazon Credit Card = ($30.00) [I have applied a c.c. just for this purchase]
S&H = Free [For all orders that qualified the Free Shipping on orders over $25]
Tax = 0%
Grand total = $9.47

I had placed the order last Thurs/Friday and received my package this Wednesday. Service is fast and everything was in order. Will I shop at Amazon again? You betcha! Oh, this little shopping spree didn’t end there. I had another package that arrived on Wednesday too. :P I will blog about it later.
