Genuine feelings of a 3 year old

Today we called Gong Gong, Popo and Yee Po. Why?

Because Belle said, “I miss my Gong Gong.” “I miss Popo.” “I miss Yee Po.”

So, as a dutiful Mom/Daughter/Niece, I made calls out to all three important people just so missy here could tell them she misses them. Without doubt it made their day a lot brighter. :)

Wheels on the Bus Song

One of Belle’s all time favorite song is Wheels on the Bus. Whenever we sing that song together, she will follow the lyrics with actions. Whenever I pick her up from the daycare (every Wednesday) I will sing the song with her when we see a bus on the road. Here’s the lyrics to that song:

The wheels on the bus go round and round,
round and round,
round and round.
The wheels on the bus go round and round,
all through the town.

The wipers on the bus go Swish, swish, swish;
Swish, swish, swish;
Swish, swish, swish.
The wipers on the bus go Swish, swish, swish,
all through the town.

The horn on the bus goes Beep, beep, beep;
Beep, beep, beep;
Beep, beep, beep.
The horn on the bus goes Beep, beep, beep,
all through the town..

The money on the bus goes, Clink, clink, clink;
Clink, clink, clink;
Clink, clink, clink.
The money on the bus goes, Clink, clink, clink,
all through the town.

The Driver on the bus says “Move on back,
move on back, move on back;”
The Driver on the bus says “Move on back”,
all through the town.

The baby on the bus says “Wah, wah, wah;
Wah, wah, wah;
Wah, wah, wah”.
The baby on the bus says “Wah, wah, wah”,
all through the town.

The mommy on the bus says “Shush, shush, shush;
Shush, shush, shush;
Shush, shush, shush.”
The mommy on the bus says “Shush, shush, shush”
all through the town.

There are other versions where these lyrics were included:

The doors on the bus go open and shut.
The bell on the bus goes ding-ding-ding.
The lady on the bus says, “Get off my feet”…
The people on the bus say, “We had a nice ride”…
The people on the bus goes bumpety bump.
Your name” on the bus says Let Me Off!

The local newspaper wrote about lesser school bus for the coming year due to the high gas price. Oh, I can hear all the bus drivers singing…

The driver on the bus shouts, “Bus for sale…bus for sale!”

A visit from the Woods

[backdated post]

Whenever my parents visit us, we will make a point to meet up with my Aunt Shirley and her daughters, Eunice and Lydia. It is either we visit them or they visit us. Aunt Shirley is my dad’s cousin and that makes Eunice & Lydia my second cousins. Last weekend we invited them over for tea ‘cos that’s the only chance Angela get to meet them.

Lydia loves to play with Belle a lot and it’s great for us. That means we don’t have to keep an eye on the Monkey Queen..hehe…Here’s Aunt Lydia…

Guess who’s underneath the blankie? Read the rest of this entry »

A day in the park

[backdated post]

We have a public park that is around the corner of our house. Whenever my folks are here Belle gets to go there a lot. It rained a lot last week and when the clouds broke up we grabbed the chance to bring Belle out.

Yummy…

Guess what is Belle chewing on?

It was sucha finger lickin’ good experience for her. She would not let us take it from her. She was sucking, chewing and lapping up every morsel of it. Here’s a closer look…

Monkey Queen is chewing on a piece of bone. Well, it was a sweet-n-sour pork rib. She ate all the meat and kept chewing on the bone. She must’ve liked the bone marrow a lot. When I was younger, I love to chew on chicken bones and suck the marrow of it. Like mother, like daughter. :)

Belle & Junior in a Sports car

Jon finally bought the convertible car he has been bugging me for–Mazda Miata. It is a used car and great for regular commute. The gas price is killing us ‘cos our SUV is a gas guzzler. Jon has been sending Belle to daycare in the SUV, come home, change car and drives the Miata to work.

But, do you know who loves the car the most??

Belle loves Daddy

Belle loves to play with Daddy ‘cos Daddy is more fun than Mommi. Recently both of them love to play at the corner of the staircase.

These were taken by Daddy. Mommi was taking a nap at that time. Jon is a great father and husband. Why? Even with his lack of sleep (due to Belle’s recent move to her own bedroom), he lets me to have my nap and attend to Belle. Can you tell Belle loves her Daddy too? :)

This was taken couple of weeks back. Daddy yelled out for me to bring the camera and this is what I caught them doing. Belle loves to goof around with her Daddy.

Camera Obsession

It is very difficult to take Belle’s pics nowadays ‘cos she wants to be behind the camera. Everytime we snap a pic, she will run to us to preview it. This is how it always happens…

Daaadddy, I want camera!

Daddy take for you, ok?

Nooooo, I want to take picture myself!

Don’t cry. Come, daddy take your picture again.

I waaaaaaaaaaant!

This is the outcome….
