I can’t blog much lately as it is quarter end and in sales we need to force push the customers to buy more. On top of that “someone” broke the laptop.
It started out with Belle banging on the keyboard (and yes, this only happens when ”someone” uses the laptop) and broke the left-side “Shift” key. At first we were going to bring it back to I.T. department to have it swapped out, but noooooo, “someone” thinks he can do a “simple” thing like swapping out the keyboard panel. Well, that “someone” thought wrong.
I enlisted a friend of mine to purchase the keyboard panel from eBay. It got to us in less than a week. That night itself that “someone” started to work on it. Somehow the laptop refused to recognise the new keyboard by not letting us finish the New Device Test. Then “someone” switched back to the original keyboard, popped out the “Shift” key from the new panel and installed it onto the missing area.
The laptop was then fired up. We saw the Windows logo. I got excited and was thinking, “Great! Now I can write on my blog.” The laptop went blank. Blank?! What happened?! The laptop had a black blank screen. We tried to reboot, reboot, and reboot…still ended up with that blank screen. Then I gave the *evil eye* to “someone”. I muttered “See la! Can do, can do, until kaput!”
Sigh, nevermind la, after all that “someone” was just trying to fix the laptop quickly for me ‘cos he knows I love to blog from the laptop. I should have controlled my anger and be more understanding. Now the laptop is at the I.T. department and the hubby said we should get it back today. So, bear with me as I will not be blogging till the laptop is fixed.

A few people saw my recent pic and asked if I have lost weight? I don’t think so ‘cos the weight scale still refuse to dip to 115 lbs (that’s my goal!). I have stop going to my yoga class ‘cos I chose to spend time with Belle over stress-reliever-good-for-me workout. I’ve also stop breastfeeding and when that happens the weight will usually balloon up as I did not cut back on my portion of food.
Anyway, one thing good about having an active child is the constant “workout” I can get just by being around her. Here are some of the ”exercises” I’ve been doing:
Bicep - Lifting Belle up and down, lifting her over the sink to wash her bottom after doing #2 or before changing her diaper.
Tricep – Lifting Belle from my shoulder while giving her piggy rides.
Hamstring – Lifting Belle, picking up toys, food or objects thrown on the floor by Belle.
Calf muscle – Running after Belle when she crawls away. Sprint run when she starts to chew on objects she just picked up from the floor.
Abs – Bending from waist by the constant throw-on-the-floor action from Belle, mini crunches when Belle keeps sitting on my tummy and I have to lift the head up and down (while pushing her away) trying to get her off me.
Pecs – Carrying Belle by using arm strength gives a good pumping workout at the pecs. Too bad it doesn’t do wonders on saggy boobs.
Gluts – Bending from the knees while carrying chubby Belle helps burn those cellulites developed during pregnancy. *woohoo!* Another good one where the hubby can participate is to surprise me with a slap on the butt and I have to tuck in the cheeks.
Back muscles – Again, the lifting Belle up and down is a great overall workout, lying on the tummy (on bed) and trying to lift Belle from the floor to the bed.
The good thing about this “workout” is the body has not time to get accustom to the weight. Basically the baby will gain more weight and sooner or later I can develope beautiful toned muscles!
No wonder there are miracle stories about the mom able to lift a car when her child was pinned under it. I tell you, it’s all those years of “workout” that made it possible..hehehe.

It finally dawn on us that we need not buy expensive toys for Belle. She can have as much fun with plain and practical objects from home.

She has yet to discover the pots and pans but it is matter of time. I better cherish these quiet moments before it’s too late.

This afternoon I was about to do my laundry and this little helper of mine decided to be in charge of it. Photos below will tell the entire process:

This evening I decided to give Belle a piggy ride on my shoulders. Daddy was snapping away with the camera and to our surpise Belle did this…

Belle definitely loves Mommy!

We thought the surgery will be a quick and easy one. Go in at 12.30pm, get prep, enter the O.T., recuperate from it and out the door by 2.30pm. But noooo, that didn’t happen. Hubby didn’t get to the O.T. till 4pm! Apparently, the doc’s first surgery went overtime and everything got pushed back. Poor hubby was fasting since last night and his stomach was growling noisily. By the time we checked out, it was already 6pm.
I’m just glad that it is an out-patient surgery. He is a-okay now but his doc said the abscess may recur and there is no guarantee this surgery will stop it permanently. *sigh*
Okay, now I have to play nurse/maid. See la, being a wife is so ?? (Cantonese: wai dai, great/mighty, in this case, self-less), have to change his dressing, make sure his mom has food for him (hahaha..yea, my MIL cooks dinner for us, so lucky, huh?), entertain Belle (which is usually his fair share of responsibility), puts her to bed (his responsibility too), bring water/tea/soda to him, let him watch all the TV he wants (‘cos no other responsibility mah!), let him laze on the couch, etc.
On top of having a big baby to care for, my baby Belle caught the sniffles and this evening developed a mild fever too. She didn’t wanna eat her porridge and fish. I resorted to 6-oz of milk and added cereal into it. She finished 3-oz only and few pieces of watermelon. Gave her the meds and within 2 hours her fever subsided. *Phew* I pray her fever is gone for good. Now have to monitor two babies! Luckily the big baby has Vicodin (painkiller) and he can sleep peacefully after taking it.
Okay, back to night duties…

Belle loves to give kisses and they tend to be the open-mouthed type. When she’s apprehensive at kissing someone she will close her mouth but she will still kiss ‘em. Her grandparents are getting a kick outta it!
Can you tell who does Belle love to kiss more?

Tomorrow Belle’s daddy has to go in for a minor surgery to remove an abscess. Poor daddy has to fast till 12pm ‘cos the doctor’s office called to postpone the surgery from 9am to 12pm *apa hal?!* In a way I’m glad it has been postponed as I don’t have much vacation hours from work. Trying to save up as much as I can for my trip back to M’sia and Shanghai this coming October.
Lately, I’ve been contemplating of having a 2nd child. Belle is growing too fast and I’m already missing those newborn days. Despite the crying, constant feeding & needing and frequent pooping, I really really miss cradling a small baby. Belle was 5 lbs 17 oz during birth and she is relatively small especially when I had gestational diabetes. I guess I did a pretty darn good job controlling my food intake.
The hubby is ready for a second one. Me? If I’m thinking about it, I guess I’m ready too. LOL!
Okay, better stop thinking about it ‘cos by tomorrow I will have a “big baby” to take care.

Every morning when Belle wakes up a little later than usual her nanny will be responsible for making a bottle of milk for Belle. She usually turns on the Noggin channel and have the girls drink their milk together.

Belle: Nah, you wanna taste my milk? I can share share with you.

Marisol: No, Gracias. You should drink your milk. Here you go…

Belle: Eh? Your milk looks better! I want!
*Sigh, the pasture always seem to be greener on the other side*
