Top 5 Favorite Msian Bloggers

Wow! This is a tough one and my good blogger friend Immomsdaughter decided to challenge me on this.  Oh yea, if I don’t do it she will cekik (Malay: strangle) me for a Coach bag.

Not in particular order:

1. Immomsdaughter – Although she has been busy doing PPP I still bong chan (Cantonese: frequent) her site. I like her frankness and she has a funny sense of humor too. Ooh, her Mei Mei does the funniest poses too. I especially like the “kiss my ketiak” pic.

2. Babykhong – Braedyn’s b’day is just a day after Belle’s. That’s why it is special ‘cos she and myself probably suffered went through labor pains on the same day!

3. Michelle – A bit bias here ‘cos I met her twice! :lol: I find her forum very insightful (hmm, is there such a word). If you get the chance, check it out!

4. Jenn – I’ve been reading Jenn’s articles since her stint at MSN Msia. She went MIA for a while and I did a search on her and her site popped up (before she moved to WP…then got her own url). Now, this very creative lady and her family have moved thousand of miles to this end of the world (Washington state). So, you can say I’m her avid reader. Hey Jenn, are you gonna finish the Vivian Wong story? :P

5. Angela – Hey, gotta sokong (Malay: support) my baby sister’s blog. Anyone who wanna know what a medical student in Dublin (Ireland, that is) does, just click on her site. She doesn’t update much ‘cos she has to study. (Am I right, sis??)

Like I said, I have many many favourite M’sian bloggers. This includes Rambling Moo, Mott, Sasha, Domestic Goddess, Zara&Zaria’s Mama, Mumsgather, Annie Q, Egghead, Maria, Jazzmint, Jesslyn, Jean, Ling..aiyo..the list will go on and on.

Um, is there a Top 5 Favorite Sgporean Bloggers?? If there is one my fav is Mamabok..hehe.

Okay, who wanna be tagged? Go do it la but I think almost everyone in the Msian blogsphere has been tagged before.

Calling Popo and Gong Gong

Belle is like Junior (our dog). She will do anything for food. :lol: I know I know, it is bad of me to compare my daughter to a dog; but that’s the truth.

Popo: Belle, you want this mumm mumm (food)?

Belle: Yea!

Popo: Call Popo first

Belle: Po Po!

Another scenerio…

Gong Gong: Ting, aahhh (open mouth)

Belle: aaaahhh

Popo: Call Ah Gong

Belle: Toto!

Oh yea, Belle can’t pronounce Gong Gong and resort to calling my dad Toto. Wakakaka…

Wee update

The benefit of having grandparents is unlimited & willing babysitting. :) Having my parents here I feel more at ease during the day ’cos I know my baby is well taken care of. My in-laws are great too but I feel more comfortable having my folks taking care of Belle. At least I can leave instruction to my folks w/o feeling kam kai.

Belle warmed up to my parents very fast. She loves hanging out with my mom ‘cos Popo will let her scribble draw on the art block paper with crayons (her Popo brought those all the way from KL). She also love going to the park with her Gong Gong. These are the activities she does whenever her Popo and Gong Gong are in town. She is very well fed too whenever my parents are here..hehe. Some friends & bloggers commented about Belle losing her baby fat. Well, with her maternal grandparents around my little piggy will fatten up very soon.

We have shortened her daycare sessions to 3 full days (Mon to Wed) during the week. Rest of the week, her Popo and Gong Gong will take care of her.  My folks wanna spend as much time they have with her.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On the side note, Belle’s daddy left for India today. We dropped him off at the airport this morning. It is gonna be a long 2 and a half weeks for me. *sigh* I hope everything will run smoothly for daddy. He has taken 3 shots (Hep A, Thyphoid & Polio) prior to the trip and have to be on a malaria precaution med for the entire time he is there.
This evening my mom told me Belle went up to her daddy’s study room and yelled out “Papa Papa.” This girl of mine is her daddy’s girl. Everytime her daddy comes home she will run to him and give him a big hug. She must’ve wondered why her papa isn’t at home today.
It is gonna be a long night for mommy ‘cos I will not hear from daddy till tomorrow afternoon when he gets into New Delhi. I really pity my hubby, he has a long league and Delhi isn’t his final destination. I can’t wait for him to reach India safely and hear his voice on the phone.
??
We were watching the CNY celebration on TVB. They had the Lion Dance at the beginning of the show. Belle stopped what she was doing and watched the TV intensely. It was the first time Belle saw a Mou Si (Cantonese: Lion Dance)
Then Belle said, “Wou Wou!”
This girl thought the Lion was a Dog. :lol:
Popo and GongGong are here!
Yay Yay! My mommi and daddi are here! :D
I tried to teach Belle to say PoPo and Gong Gong last night. She got the PoPo part semi right. Her PoPo sounded like PaoPao. When comes to saying Gong Gong or Ah Gong, she just stared blankly at me. *slap forehead* Ah well, I guess my dad will be pouting away whenever Belle calls my mom.
Can’t wait to get off work today..Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee….
Love is…
Watching the shadow of your man in the dark lulling the baby to sleep.
Letting me sleep in for another hour and he tends to the baby.
Making an extra PB&J sandwich for me while preparing baby’s lunch.
Setting up the satellite dish just so I can have my Chinese TVB series fix.
Unshelling the kua chi (Cantonese: dried melon seed) and letting me have the meat.
Getting my car fueled up before it gets empty.
Reminding me to drive slowly when it is pouring outside.
Watching sappy movies with me and cried along too.
Making this beautiful baby with me.
Happy Valentine’s Day, hon!
A Happy V-Day to all you couples out there!
Heads & Shoulders…Knees & Toes
Last night 3 of us were lying on our mega big bed. Belle decided to entertain us with the new moves she had learned from school.
She tapped her head, then her chest and lastly on her laps. She repeated it for many times and it dawned on me she was doing the Heads & Shoulders, Knees & Toes moves. I joined her and sang the song too. She was excited (from facial expression) to know I knew that song. She giggled and kept doing those moves.
In the middle of the song, she stopped.
She walked toward her daddy put her hands on his and placed his hands on his head. She wanted daddy to join in too.
Both of us laughed so loud, she thought it was funny too and joined us in the laughter.
Belle: 15-mth old update
I’m a such a slacker; another month has passed and Belle is 15-mth 1-wk old now.
New words learnt:
More – Frequently used whenever she wants more food, more drink, more of anything. She will also use this word to substitute “again.” If she wants to hear the music again, she will say More.
No More – She loves to use this whenever she’s done with her milk.
Duck – She can finally pronounce Duck whenever she sees a duck (picture).
Da-da – That’s how she calls her Daddy whenever I ask her to yell for Daddy.
Uh-Oh – She is extremely good at saying uh-oh whenever she drops something or falls on the floor.
No (with exclaimation mark) – Now she really knows what No means. She will say No and hide whatever she’s holding close to her body or behind her back. I’m trying to undo this behavior by letting her have her way, wait for 1/2 a minute and ask her again. Usually she is pretty good at letting me have the item when I ask her again.
Dexterity:
Climbing – She has master the art of climbing down the bed. She would only climb down from her own bed ‘cos our Cal King sized bed is too high for her.
Running – She runs a lot too. She will ask us to run with her around the dining table. At times she will run and look back to see if we’re chasing after her. She thinks it is a game. Whenever we catch her she will squeal and giggle non-stop.
Dancing – Her dancing skill has improved a lot. Now she will twirl around, lifts her arms up in the air & stomps her feet. She will also stand and sway her body while criss-crossing both arms in front of her.  My in-laws managed to catch it on video..hmm, I’ll need to get it from them.
Self-feeding – It is a constant struggle whenever I feed her dinner. Note: Just dinner not lunch. I guess feeding her cha-pa-lang (mixed) food is much easier for us. Anyway, when comes dinner time, she and I will have wet t-shirt dinner contest. She will refuse to let me hold the spoon. If I don’t give in, she will fling her arms in front of her resulting food flying in the air, spoon landing on the floor & a dirty face Belle.
Hmm, what else is there? I should start posting Belle’s antics and milestones frequently. Work is so hectic (yea, yea, I’ve been giving that excuse all the time but it is true! Honest!) and just writing this one piece took me the entire day to finish it.
Oh yea, one last thing. She has 16 teeth; even 8 on top and bottom. Sometimes she will chew on the sippy cup spout resulting teeth marks on ‘em. She bit through one of her bottle nipples too.
Sorry no pictures of Belle ‘cos we have been busy. Michelle was here last week and we had a fun & tiring time shopping..hehe.
