Happy Halloween, everyone!
I’m taking off (from work) early today and will trick-or-treat with Belle. This is gonna be her very 1st trick-or-treat event. My mom said she will decorate our lawn today with some hand-drawn plastic bags.
So, any final guesses on what Belle is gonna be tonite?

November is an important month in my life. Not only does my daughter’s birthday fall on November, November is also the month you can get free memory screenings at many public locations in the United States.
Free Memory Screening Day is spearheaded by the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America with the purpose to create early intervention. In order to have early intervention, it is crucial to promote early detection of Alzheimer’s disease and related illnesses. This is why Free Memory Screening Day is set on November 13 & 16 (each location will have screening either on the 13th or 16th) and everyone can have the screening done.
All of us, especially those who have family members going through Alzheimer’s, should take this opportunity to get a screening done. Screening sites can be found at nationalmemoryscreening.org. Since this event is a joint effort of AFA and various healthcare professionals and organizations, you will also get informative materials from them during this day.
If you wish to know more about “successful aging tips”, please refer to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America website. Remember, our future is in our hand. If we can equip ourselves with more information, we will be more prepared. While you are at AFA’s website, please contribute to the cause too. Every penny will be spent on the researching for the cure and ensuring quality care for those who are suffering from the Alzheimer’s disease.

Warning: Be prepared to be bombarded with photos.
Belle’s second birthday party is held at Pump It up Jr. They have many locations in the United States. Since I’m doing paid post, it is best that I do not link to their website. Feel free to google it.
But then again, the photos will do all the introducing.
We arrived at PIUJ around 9.10am and in the invitation cards I’ve told the parents to try to be there by 9.15am. The time slot given to us was 9.30am till 11.30pm. The staff at PIUJ insisted the 15 mins to brief us the rules and safety info. Pilar and her kids arrived the same time as us. For those who are new to this blog, Pilar is Belle’s ex-nanny. Every summer downtown Mountain View will have a Wine & Art Festival and they bring together all the crafts-people in California. This is the time where ordinary folks like us can view their crafts and even purchase them. There is always a few stalls that sell home-made soaps. These soaps have intricate designs and different types of aroma. I have always wanted to learn how to make those soaps.
Today I found Elements Bath & Body online. They are a family-owned and operated company that offers a wide selection of bath and body supplies. Since they offer wholesale soap making supplies, the prices are affordable. As you know, when a batch of soap is made, the quantity will not be small. Therefore, getting your supplies from Elements Bath & Body will be ideal.
On top of their huge selection, they even took the initiative to post some recipes for lip balm, bath and lotion. This is great! Now I can cook up a batch and even distribute it to friends and family. If you are interested in making your own soap, you have to check out their website. Happy Soap-making!

We just had a 5.6 earthquake. I was in the shower with Belle and all of the sudden the bathroom stall shook. It went on for 3-5 seconds. This is the 2nd time I felt the quake. Usually we are asleep when the quake happens.
Okay, now back to our daily lives. Thank God nothing broke.

I just got off the phone with Fedex. Boy, was it annoying. That guy kept breathing into the mouth-piece and I felt like I was talking to Darth Vader.
Anyway, I’m still uploading the photos from Belle’s birthday party. The post should be up pretty soon. Stay tune!

We have test drove many strollers before we settled down with our recent strollers. Today, I found a new stroller brand, Mutsy. From the website I am very impressed with the stylish design and versatility of the stroller frame. This stroller is designed with flexibility in mind. You can change the carrier from a bassinet to a toddler seat as your child grows.
Mutsy has 5 stroller models and 3 seating models. I’m sure one of them will fit your requirement. With #2 coming along, we will have to test drive Mutsy. Why don’t you give it a try to? You can get the retail store locations from their website.

The birthday party is over! *phew*
I’m telling ya, this party is more exhausting than last year. This year I had baked cupcakes and boy was that a loooong process. I will blog about that in another post. It is also an exhausting party for Daddy ‘cos he has to tag along with Belle in all her hyper activities. Again, I will blog about that in another post.
Oh, we had mystery guests whom we’re glad could make it to Belle’s birthday party. Again, you will have to wait for my other post..hehe. What I can say now is my back is extremely sore from my cupcake baking experience.
Stay tune!

My greatest fear when comes to getting a new hair style is not getting the right style that fits the shape of my face. If only the shape of my face is oval, then I will not have a care in the world when comes to getting a hair cut. Now I know I do not have to face such fear ‘cos I found a virtual makeover that virtually let me pick and choose the type of hair style for my face.
I have signed up a free account with makeoversolutions.com just few minutes ago. All I did was upload a frontal shot photo of myself and the rest is easy. I just click through the hair style I wish to have and voila I get to see myself in that particular hair style.
This site also has a makeup makeover option. On top of that, once you have signed up with them, you will also receive free tips on makeups, latest hairstyles of the celebrities, etc. This site is way too cool and I have to stop here now ‘cos I want to work on my makeover session at makeoversolutions.com. If you are like me who is afraid of getting new hair style, give it a try by signing up for a free account. Stop waiting and starting making yourself beautiful.
