Mmm…yummy
We had a quick lunch at In-N-Out last weekend. As always Belle will entertain us with new antics. Here’s her way of telling us how yummy her fries were.
Can anyone top this drama queen?

With our family growing, we need a bigger car that gives us easy access to the kids and is more kid-friendly. One of the requirements is to have DVD set(s) for the kids and if the vehicle has HD Radio Receiver it will be awesome too. There is this site, HDRadio.com, that offers HD Digital Radio not only for new cars but for current owned cars and at home too. The best feature so far is the no subscription free. All we need is to get a HD Radio Receiver.
Another feature that struck the chord is the iPod dock with iTunes Tagging. I always have a problem getting the name of the songs I’ve heard from the radio. With this feature, I can just simply hit the “tag” button on my HD Radio and it will tag the song for me. All I need to do is sync the receiver with my iPod and purchase the song from iTunes. Now, isn’t that wonderful?
I can’t wait get my hands on the HD Radio Receiver and start scrolling through the New York High Definition Radio stations I so love.

Little Cassie has started to demand for attention. Oh joy! Whenever I put her down she would cry bloody murder and her face will turn shade of purple. I so love to see her scrunch up her tiny nose and seeing her mouth pouting and turning into a frown (can that be used for mouth? hmm…).
Just a few minutes ago I was having my meal and this little booger wanted to be carried. I didn’t want her to get use to being carried around, so I let her cry it out. Guess what? I couldn’t even eat in peace. So, I took Belle’s musical instruments and jiggled each one of them in front of her. I had one bowl in one hand while the other was busy jiggling the tamborine, bells, etc. When I had to stop to scoop some rice into my mouth, the girl started to cry. Once the other hand started to jiggle the instruments she stop crying. *what a demanding child*
Now I know why they invented the rattle. I didn’t use rattles when Belle was at Cassie’s age. I better let my MIL about this ‘cos she will help us look after Cassie when I get back to the workforce.
Oh, just in case you’re wondering. After 10 mins of jiggling the bells (she prefers the bells) I stop and let her ngak ngak ngak off. She needs to learn it is Mommy’s lunch time and she has to on her own. Now she’s asleep after few minutes of ngak-ing…hehe…

If you want to know an all-rounder sports fan, look no further. My husband is one sports junkie! He can live and breath sports. How? Not only would he watch almost every game, be it football, baseball, basketball, ice hockey, etc., he would also read them online via sports websites and forum. With NFL coming up in a few month I have no doubt he will be doing what he likes best. That is he picks nfl players by playing Fantasy Football. Now that we have 2 kids I wonder if he will give it up.

This is a very nice shot of my girls with their maternal grandparents. We took many shots but this is by far the best. At least in this pic Belle isn’t making funny faces.

I have mentioned earlier that Cassie has a bad case of baby acne. Her cheeks, chin and forehead flared up like eczema but Dr. Martino said it isn’t eczema. She told us there is nothing we can do but wait for it to cease by itself. Belle used to have baby acnes but not as bad as Cassie’s. Anyway, I couldn’t take it anymore (eventhough it doesn’t bother her) and tried to experiment creams and ointment on her.
1) Aquaphor cream – It claims for sensitive skin but it made the skin inflammation worse (on Cassie). Luckily I experimented it on a small part of her cheek.
2) Aveeno cream – I used the cream that is for sensitive skin. This cream work wonders on Belle’s dry cheeks. Oh, on top of the baby acne, Cassie’s face was dry and flaky. Tried 2 days on her and the baby acne got worse. The baby acne started to spread onto her ears. I stopped using it immediately.
3) Vaseline – This is the petroleum jelly type and it softens her skin a little but the baby acne and dry skin still persists.
4) Breastmilk – I searched on babycenter.com and found a mom swore by it. Guess what?! It is working! Cassie’s face is still dry but much better than before. As for the baby acne, it’s gone! I would express a few drops and apply it on her cheeks and leave it on a min or two. Then I would clean her face with lukewarm water by using a cottonball. I usually do this once a day and that is right before her bath. I’m still applying Vaseline on her just to lock the moisture in her face.
So, moms and dads, if your baby has baby acne, give breastmilk a try. Now, isn’t it another good reason to breastfeed?

Spring is somewhat here and that means one thing: POLLENS! Arrrgggh! My desk is full of wonton tissues now. Breastfeeding means no Claritin. Bummer!
A wee update on last week ordeal challenge…
1) I get to sleep in with Cassie and Jon was wonderful…he prepared Belle for daycare eventhough he was dead tired.
2) We ate out 3 times during the entire week.
3) Belle enjoyed her 1st Easter Egg hunt in the daycare and at Jon’s highschool.
4) Cassie’s baby acne is clearing up. Oh, this girl has a bad case of baby acne on her face that looks like heat rash. That’s the reason why there isn’t any pics of her lately.
5) Cassie’s beautiful eyelids are puffy now and the crease on her lids have disappeared. She looks more like Belle when Belle was her age. With the puffy eyes came the puffy cheeks. She’s a lotsa cheeks now…just like her mom and sister.
Okay, gotta run. It’s 1.30am and I’m waiting for the water to boil. I almost forgot to cook Mac & Cheese for Belle. It is gonna be her lunch tomorrow.

Whenever Popo is in town, she will pamper Belle with food. She and Gong Gong will think of delicious food to cook just for their precious grand-daughter. Belle on the other hand, loves all the attention she gets from her grandparents, especially from Popo.

On our way to the airport, Belle sang this…
Happy Birthday to ME!
Happy Birthday to ME!
Happy Birthday tooo MEEEE!
Happy Birthday to ME!
I sang, “Happy Birthday to you!”
Belle: ME??
Belle: Oooohhhh…Thank You. Thank You.
Belle: Present (for) me.
How cheeky!

We dropped Popo and Gong Gong at the airport 2 hours ago. My folks cooked up a storm for the past 2 days just so we could re-heat the food and not be tied down with the cooking. My fridge is stocked up with meat, veggies, cooked food, etc. I’m glad they have cut up all the meat and deboned the chicken meat. This will make cooking easier for me. It is always the preparation that takes up a lot of my time.
Cassie has started to cry for attention and she would cry out loud just so someone could cradle her. This girl is getting smarter each day. I doubt she will remember my folks but I know Belle is gonna miss her grandparents. We asked does she want Popo and Gong Gong to go to Malaysia, her answer was “NO”.
Our house is gonna be really quiet tomorrow. *sigh* I’m missing my folks already.
