It is $3.60 per gallon on the average for nationwide…BUT it’s over FOUR bucks in San Francisco! This is crazy! Yes, my friends, we’re talking about the black gold: OIL. We are in the middle of a recession now and they are talks of lowering the interest rate on Wednesday.
If you have extra cash to spare, it’s a great time to invest in US currency now. As for us, we might not be able to travel to Europe now ‘cos EURO is so damn strong. *sigh*
Okay, I’m gonna plant my face into my pint of Baskin Robbin ice-cream now. So depressed.

This is the first series of photos where I caught Cassie smiling. Cassie loves to interact with us. Sometimes, her love of interaction interferes with her feeding. She would suck halfway and decided to goo-goo-gaa-gaa with me. I’ve read somewhere that nursing is the best time to bond with our babies and it is crucial not to have the TV turned on. For me, I would rather have Cassie concentrate on her feeding.
Cassie gets content just being half full and THAT makes it impossible for me to rest. She is now on a 4-hr interval feeding schedule but lately, with all these cooing and googoogaagaa’ing, this girl prefers small talk over milk. O-kay, let’s save this for another post. Today, we have photos of Cassie smiling. Read the rest of this entry »

Belle doesn’t look dark in photos but she is. Ever since she was an infant, we noticed her skin is a darker shade than ours. We aren’t surprise ‘cos my mom’s skin is naturally darker (she said it is hitam manis wor!) and my FIL is quite dark too. The chances of having this gene is quite high. Don’t believe me? Look…

Okay, you might say Belle’s hand is tan. Here’s a pic where you can see Jon’s hand too. Jon has fair skin but he plays bball occassionally; so, his hand is slightly tan now.

Looks like Belle is a hitam manis too.
Cassie has fair skin…does that mean I have a “coffee and milk” at home now?

After having 2 kids, going to the swimwear department is the last thing I wanna do. No, it isn’t because I don’t have the time to shop. We women love to give any type of excuse just to shop, don’t we?
The fact is, it is difficult to look at myself in front of the mirror; a 20 lbs more heavier me in a swimsuit. I hate trying out swimsuits ‘cos I will be stuck in the changing room for hours just to find something that 1) fits me 2) makes me look 20 lbs slimmer (okay, that’s far fetched).
So, why am I writing about swimsuit today? Well, I know there is a contest out there and the prize is $100 Gift Cert for a customized swimsuit from Lands’ End. Imagine this, something that actually fits me AND will make me look slimmer. I’m sure Lands’ End has way to make my butt looks smaller.
So, yeah! I wanna win this just so I can flaunt of my new swimsuit this coming summer.
If you are like me–dying to win a customized swimsuit, hop over to My Lil Venture now. Don’t wait too long, this contest ends on May 15th, 2008. Good luck to you and of course, to myself.

Last year we received a lot of photo cards for Christmas. This year, we are planning to do the same too. I have been surfing the net and found Cards Direct.
Cards Direct publishes different type of greeting cards but most importantly it prints Photo Cards. I like the fact that I do not really have to use the photo card as a seasonal greeting card. I have the option to write anything I want on the front or inside of the card. The card below is a great example (which I like too):
This card does not look too Christmasy nor like any holiday greeting cards. I have many relatives who wish to get photo updates of my girls. This is one great way of sending an updated photo of the girls as some of my relatives and friends seldom view my girls’ photos online. It is also a great way for them to track their growth. Imagine sending a photo card every year or every quarter, you can get see the growth difference. Kids grow really fast and years down the road, they can put these photo cards in an album and view them as regular photos. Since it is a photo card, it looks more personal too. I can write a little excerpt about the photo and in that way, they get to know a little more about the girls. Now, isn’t that a great idea?

This is a photo of Cassie when her skin flared up from eczema…

We are using a different cream on her now ‘cos Aquaphor isn’t strong enough. We’re using Eucerin, which is cream based and not ointment (like Aquaphor). I’m seeing slight improvement after a day of application. Her arms, back of her hands, thighs are still very rough but compare to couple of weeks ago, right now, her skin has improved a lot.
Despite the eczema, Cassie hasn’t been giving us any problems. She is great at self-soothing. Yesterday she found her thumb. Yup, this little girl has been sucking her thumb and boy, does she suck hard on it. Everytime I pull her thumb out of her mouth, it will be red. She isn’t very fond of the pacifier and in a way, I’m glad she found a way to soothe herself to sleep.

My girls. My life. Sorry, Daddy, you have been bumped down a notch. I’m sure it’s the case for you too.

I hope they will grow up loving each other and be there for one another. Sisterhood is a strong bond. I’m glad I have a sister too.

She is definitely a Big Ang Pow for us. After all she did come into the world on the 2nd day of Chinese New Year. I’m sure my folks love this photo. Everytime I call home, Popo will ask if Cassie has started to fatten up. What do you think?

My husband usually authorizes the purchasing of electronic stuff in his company’s server lab. Heaven knows how many types of cables he had bought and everytime I walk into his cubicle, I will see yards and yards of cables hanging around his cubicle. I’m sure he will be happy to know about Diable Cable as they carry the Cisco cable he has been looking for. He will be happy to know it comes with a lifetime warranty too. I can’t wait to show him this site as it also carries different type of cables.
